Radiant Winter Makeup

Despite the fact it’s January, I have still been reaching for my summer faves, to brighten up my makeup look and add some much needed warmth and glow to my complexion.

I find using a glowy primer is the best first step in achieving summer skin and I like to use the Dior Glow Maximizer, but the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector liquids or the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow work just the same. I first take a small amount on the tops of my cheekbones and then mix a pump into my base, this way your foundation becomes more radiant and your highlight looks from within.

A cream bronzing base is everything when it comes to adding natural warmth to the skin and I love the Chanel Soliel de Tan, but I am also dying to try the YSL Le Teint Saharienne, which seems to work in a similar way. I first work a small amount on to the back of my hand to warm it up and then use an Artis Oval 6 to buff it onto the high points of the face.

For blush, I like to use two. I go in with Tom Ford Pink Sand, which is a hybrid of blush and highlighter… It’s basically summer in a pan and I love it! Again, I blend small amounts on the tops of my cheekbones for a subtle yet glowy pop of colour. Then, I use Burberry Earthy blush which is my favourite blusher of all time. This adds a natural contoured flush which I think works super well with the glow and adds dimension to the face.

Regardless of eyes, foundation or lip colour choices, with these four I am guaranteed to look and feel more radiant through winter, and who wouldn’t want that?
