Illamasqua Naked Rose Blusher

It seems like forever since I did any beauty posts! I have masses of new and amazing products to talk to you about, starting with a dreamy blusher from Illamasqua ❤

I was wandering through the beauty hall in Selfridges on Oxford Street and happened upon Illamasqua. I’ve been meaning to pick up a Naked Rose blush for some time now since when I spy a shade I love on Instagram, I make a record of it in Notes. I have the longest blush lust list, ever!

Naked Rose is a matte powder blush formula with high pigmentation. It’s a finely milled powder with high colour intensity and compliments my complexion perfectly. I often use blushers as eye shadows and I’ve found Naked Rose to be just as beautiful on the eye as on the cheeks, since it has that warm undertone to it. Illamasqua blushers can be used wet for an intense effect or with a duo fiber brush for a subtle wash of colour.

I’m finding myself reaching for Naked Rose daily, since it’s super wearable, long-lasting and ideal when using a separate product to highlight, since it is matte and stops you from appearing too highlighted. In terms of value for money, it was £22 and contains 4.5g of product; I would say this is OK. In comparison Mac blushers retail for £18.50 and contain 6g.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Illamasqua in the past and wouldn’t hesitate to pick up more blushers, since I really like this formula. Have you tried their blushers? What did you think?

  1. Great post! I’ve never tries cosmetics by this brand but I should.
And I like the way you use blush like eye shadows. I like use bronzer on my lids- it looks very natural.

    • It really is, I would recommend giving it a go! Yeah, I do think some of their products you really can’t get anywhere else and are super high quality so in that respect they are worth the money. I love their cream pigments, Hollow is great for contouring and their also great as bases on the eyes! If you’ve never tried them before, pop to a counter and try out some products and see what you think! xxx Emily
