Whilst in London this week, I made a special trip to South Kensington with the sole intention of picking up cupcakes and tray bakes from The Hummingbird Bakery!
The bakery itself was a delightful little café, filled with a variety of gorgeous cakes. I ended up going for two salted caramel cupcakes, a frosted chocolate brownie and a raspberry cheesecake brownie, all of which I had swooned over in my Hummingbird Bakery cookbook last year.
Unfortunately, my Dad and I couldn’t wait for me to photograph the tasty treats and ended up sharing a salted caramel cupcake – it was incredible, the perfect combination of salt and caramel! I often find something labelled ‘salted caramel’ super sweet, opposed to having that salted edge however this was perfection.
Our high expectations were met when my family and I shared the yummy desserts and we definitely recommend the indulgence!
