There is nothing quite like a nude lip to compliment a perfected smokey eye and bronzed skin. Be it a brown or pink nude, I love them all!
Nude lips are classic, understated and give a sophisticated touch to any makeup look. I love that a nude lip is so versatile, it can be glossy and seductive or effortless and beach ready!
Blush Nude by Tom Ford is my go-to nude lippy; I do believe I am on my 4th or 5th bullet! This shade of pink nude is my perfect match. I like to use either the Charlotte Tilbury Lip liner in Pillow Talk, or Mac What Comes Naturally as liner. Sometimes I will use both to create a more defined and plump look. I adore the formula of TF lipsticks; I don’t believe I have found anything that beats them. Blush Nude is no exception, being creamy, highly pigmented and long lasting, not to mention the stunning packaging!
You can never have too many Tom Ford lipsticks, thus why I have another nude shade. This time it’s Sable Smoke, a creamy nude with beige undertones. Again, the formula is long lasting and pigmented. If I use TF foundation in Fawn, which is my summer tan shade, I like to pat Sable Smoke on with my finger without lip liner. For an effortless bronzed look, I add Tom Ford bronzer and lashings of TF mascara in Raven. Think Gisele, the beach and tousled hair!
Mac do various nude lipsticks, one of my favourites being the peachy shade, Pure Zen. Again, I use the Charlotte Tilbury Lip liner in Pillow Talk, or Mac What Comes Naturally as liner. This crème sheen lipstick is glossy and long-lasting, ideal for high glam, Dash doll makeup. This works beautifully teamed with Blush Nude, for a peachy pink finish.
When going for a nude lip, my top tip would be to do your lips before bronzer and blush because often, nude lip colours can wash you out. Once you’ve got the lips done, you can work with your bronzer to keep you looking healthy and glowing.
For some, pale nude doesn’t work at all and so my budget buy for a natural, dusky rose look is the L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive, Julianne’s Nude. This lipstick is creamy, pigmented, long-lasting and the perfect ‘your lip colour but better’ shade.
The only downside is the scent… I really dislike it. This lipstick works wonders paired with this dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, the Rimmel liner in Eastend Snob. It is slightly darker than Pillow Talk however it is just as creamy, matte and long-lasting. I adore these two together, they make your lips look full, plump and juicy!
Left to right:
Liner: Pillow Talk, Eastend Snob, What Comes Naturally
Lipstick: Juliannes Nude, Pure Zen, Sable Smoke, Blush Nude
What do you use to look good nude? I’d love to know!

I’ve yet to really venture into the world of nude lips (If I do, it’s just lip balm) but I really like some of these colours so I may give them a try in the near future!
