I am forever hearing wonderful things about Nars Sheer Glow. A foundation that is apparently neither sheer nor full of glow, however I picked it up anyway, to judge for myself.
First thing I noticed when I got this home was, where is the pump? One of my favourite Bobbi Brown foundations has no pump, but I let it slide because it’s an incredible product however this, I found irritating.
You can purchase a pump but then you can’t use the lid so it’s whether you’re keeping it in your makeup bag or not.
Other than that the packaging is typical of Nars and the colour range was very good with 20 different shades. It is also 30ml, Dermatologist tested and there is no lingering or offence scent.
When reading about this foundation online at Nars Cosmetics, it is described as being a sheer and build-able coverage with a complexion brightening formula. However when I queried at a counter, I was told it was a full coverage foundation.
Despite the conflicting descriptions, I found it a medium to full coverage. It does have a slight dewy finish however it clings to dry patches if you’ve not exfoliated and moisturised thoroughly before hand.
It lasts well through the day and I found myself reaching for it when looking for more coverage. Nars Sheer Glow is a really easy foundation to work with and does give a second skin finish if blended well.
I typically reach for a foundation brush and a Beauty Blender to work this into the skin, I find that is how I get a natural and even finish.
If you’ve got a normal skin type and looking for a full coverage foundation that isn’t as full as perhaps Esteè Lauder Double Wear, then this one is for you.
I have to say, it’s really growing on me! What is your opinion on Nars Sheer Glow?
