“I wouldn’t take it as a compliment if someone looked at one of my shoes and said, ‘Oh, that looks like a comfortable shoe.’ There is a heel that is too high to walk in, certainly. But who cares? You don’t have to walk in high heels.” – Christian Louboutin
My brother recently graduated with a First Class Honours Degree and what better way to celebrate than to buy some new shoes!
“The higher the better. It’s more about an attitude. High heels empower women in a way.” – Christian Louboutin
I teetered away from Manolo and Christian for a more inexpensive statement. The moment I stumbled across these in Zara, I knew I had to have them.
“High heels are pleasure with pain.” – Christian Louboutin
I’d already planned an elegant black outfit for his graduation, however I was craving a statement shoe. I love them so much, I don’t even care my feet felt like they’d been crushed by bricks and my legs actually began to shake toward 7pm as if dropping a 40kg squat!
With a height of 10cm and suede exterior, these booties create a simple yet sophisticated look. It was just time that made them rather uncomfortable however they fit perfectly and I strutted sassily… until I found a seat!
I find they match almost everything, from ripped jeans to a skater skirt, they’re super versatile and definitely a staple in ones wardrobe.
Despite the pain, I had many compliments and they did look stunning so I will definitely be wearing them again this winter season. I truly admire those fabulous ladies that wear stilettos daily. A shoe such as this changes your whole manner, I do quite like it.
“You put high heels on and you change.” – Manolo Blahnik
Congratulations Oliver, I am so very proud.
